According from the cyprus migration, if your passport is less than 2 years, must to renew, for the renewal of the working visa..

Applicant for Renewal of an Expired or Passport Expiring in less than a year

Kindly monitor the validity of your Philippine Passport and renew it 8 months prior to expiration.
In line with the implementation of the new Epassport system and in promoting efficiency in passport processing, kindly bring complete and original requirements for passport application together with sufficient photocopies. Related queries may be sent to phppt.lapcg@gmail.com.
Applications with incomplete requirements and discrepant data may not be accepted by the Department of Foreign Affairs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Personal appearance of the applicant is required in all cases.
  2. Do Not Bring Passport Pictures. Passport Pictures are to be Taken by the Consulate.
  3. When going to the Consulate wear a decent attire (no sleeveless and/or collarless attire)
  4. Just before taking your photo and biometrics by the Consulate staff, remove your eyeglasses/contact lenses, earrings, necklace, and when applicable, your facial piercings;
  5. Most Recent Philippine passport and a photocopy of data page of that passport (Old passport is returned);
  6. Valid IDs; and
  7. New Passport Renewal Application Form for Adults[click here for pdf ] signed by applicant
  • Passports Valid for a Year or Less From Issuance Date May be Renewed.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

FOR APPLICANTS WHO ARE RENEWING PHILIPPINE PASSPORTS ISSUED BEFORE MAY 1, 1995
  1. Birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) formerly National Statistics Office or NSO [apply for your PSA Birth Certificate here];
    a) If Birth Certificate was registered less than ten (10) years ago, bring IDs issued before the birth certificate’s date of registration or current IDs and valid National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance.
    b) If applicant has no birth record: for those born before 1950, bring original and photocopy of PSA certificate of NO birth record and Joint Birth Affidavit of two (2) disinterested persons; for those born on or after 1950, bring original and photocopy of PSA late registered birth certificate.
  2. Valid IDs;
  3. In case of woman married in the U.S.: one (1) original and one (1) photocopy of the Report of Marriage (ROM) issued less than a year by the Philippine Consulate where the marriage took place. If ROM is more than 1 year old, bring original and photocopy of PSA ROM.
    In case of woman married in the Philippines: one (1) original or certified true copy and one (1) photocopy of Marriage Contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) [apply here for your PSA Marriage Certificate]; and
  4. Other proof of identification and current citizenship (e.g. green card) as may be required by the processor.
  • The Applicant Should Spell-out His or Her Middle Name (Not Middle Initial) as This Will be Reflected in The New Passport.
  • PSA is Formerly Known as the National Statistics Office or NSO [Apply Here for your PSA document/s].
FOR APPLICANTS WHO ARE RENEWING GREEN OR BROWN (WITHOUT THE CHIP LOGO) PASSPORTS ISSUED AFTER MAY 1, 1995
    1. Birth certificate issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) formerly National Statistics Office or NSO [apply for your PSA Birth Certificate here];
      a) If Birth Certificate was registered less than ten (10) years ago, bring IDs issued before the birth certificate’s date of registration or current IDs and valid National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) clearance.
      b) If applicant has no birth record: for those born before 1950, bring original and photocopy of PSA certificate of NO birth record and Joint Birth Affidavit of two (2) disinterested persons; for those born on or after 1950, bring original and photocopy of PSA late registered birth certificate.
    2. Valid IDs;

    Additional Requirements for Minor Applicants
  1. New Passport Application Form for Minors signed by the parent or legal guardian.
  2. Personal appearance of the minor applicant
  3. Personal appearance of either parent if minor is a legitimate child. If either parent is unable to appear:
    • Affidavit of Support and Consent of Travel [ click here for pdf ] executed by either parent indicating the name of child’s travelling companion.
    • Special Power of Attorney with an attached copy of either parent’s valid passport authorizing a representative to assist the child in the application.
    • Original and photocopy of the valid Identification card of the parent’s representative.
    • Photocopy of the valid PH Passport of either parent
  4. Personal appearance of the mother is required if minor is an illegitimate child.
  5. Original and Photocopy of PSA Marriage Certificate of Parents
  6. Original and Photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate/Report of Birth (if born abroad)
    a) If Birth Certificate was registered less than ten (10) years ago, bring IDs issued before the birth certificate’s date of registration or valid foreign passport or valid School ID.
  7. Original and Photocopy of the minor’s passport.
Additional Requirements For a Married Woman Using Her Husband’s Surname for the First Time:
  1. In case of woman married in the U.S.: one (1) original and one (1) photocopy of the Report of Marriage (ROM) issued less than a year by the Philippine Consulate where the marriage took place. If ROM is more than 1 year old, bring original and photocopy of PSA ROM.
  2. In case of woman married in the Philippines: one (1) original or certified true copy and one (1) photocopy of PSA Marriage Certificate [Apply Here for your PSA document/s].
FOR A MARRIED WOMAN WHO USED HER HUSBAND’S SURNAME BUT WISHES TO REVERT TO HER MAIDEN SURNAME DUE TO THE DEATH OF SPOUSE OR LEGAL DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE
  1. For widowed applicants: PSA Death Certificate of husband and a Photocopy or PSA Marriage Certificate with Annotation on Court Decree on Presumptive Death.[Apply Here for your PSA document/s].
  2. For annulled marriages: PSA Marriage Contract with Annotation on Annulment or Certificate of Registration and certified true copy of Court Order. [Apply Here for your PSA document/s].
  3. For divorced applicants (allowed only in cases where the non-Filipino spouse acted as the plaintiff; and not allowed when both parties are Filipino citizens at the time of the divorce): Original or certified true copy and one (1) photocopy of Marriage Contract or Annotation Document issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)[Apply Here for your PSA document/s] indicating that the divorce has already been recognized by a Philippine Court.
  • In All the Foregoing Cases, The Female Applicant Must Accomplish a Sworn Declaration to Revert to Maiden Surname.
FOR ADOPTED APPLICANTS
  1. Bring original and photocopy of PSA Birth Certificate issued after adoption decree;
  2. Certified true copy of the adoption decree issued by a Philippine court or foreign adoption decree recognized by a Philippine court; and
  3. If adopted applicant is a minor, personal appearance of adoptive parents is required.
The Consulate shall not assume any responsibility for passports/documents mailed through USPS .
Passport releasing it takes time from date of processing.
The Consular Officer reserves the right to require additional proof or documents, pursuant to the Philippine Passport Law and the Foreign Service Act.
